A Magical Alice in Wonderland Event for Laing and Simmons in Kingscliff
Laing and Simmons recently hosted a whimsical Alice in Wonderland-themed event that transported guests into a magical world of fairytale bliss with the help of our incredible team. The execution of this event seamlessly blended entertainment and styling, creating an enchanting experience that left attendees spellbound.
The heart of the event lay in its captivating entertainment offerings at the gorgeous venue – Fins Plantation in Kingscliff. We engaged our professional troupe of dancers, dressed as beloved characters from Lewis Carroll’s classic tale, and brought the enchanting world of Wonderland to life. Attendees were greeted by the charismatic Cheshire Cat, engaged in witty banter with the Rabbit who’d famously late, and even had the opportunity to challenge the Queen of Hearts in a game of croquet… on stilts! The interactive nature of the entertainment ensured that guests were not mere spectators but active participants in the Wonderland narrative.
How did we style Wonderland?
The venue was transformed into a fantastical Wonderland through meticulous styling. Every corner was a visual feast, with vibrant colors, oversized playing cards, and whimsical props that echoed the iconic imagery from the classic tale. The venue’s entrance featured an oversized, keyhole-shaped arch adorned with playing cards, low-lying fog and dim lighting, immediately setting the whimsical tone for the evening.
Tables were adorned with eccentric teacup centerpieces, mismatched chairs, and floral arrangements reminiscent of the Queen of Hearts’ garden. The lighting design played a crucial role, with fairy lights creating a magical ambiance, and strategically placed spotlights highlighting key elements of the Wonderland decor. The lawn was lit with large light up letters and if you dare entered the bathrooms we created a bubbly maze that only the Cheshire cat would have you enter.
To enhance the immersive experience, a dress code inspired by the characters of Wonderland was encouraged. Attendees arrived adorned in their whimsical best, with a parade of Alice, the White Rabbit, and even Tweedledee and Tweedledum adding to the visual spectacle. This not only added to the entertainment value but also created a sense of unity among the guests, fostering a shared experience of being part of the Wonderland narrative.
In addition to the theatrical performances, the event offered various interactive activities to keep guests engaged. Giant Chess, playing cards and croquet.
The Laing and Simmons’ Alice in Wonderland-themed event in Kingscliff was a masterful blend of entertainment and styling, creating an unforgettable experience for all who attended. By immersing guests in the whimsical world of Wonderland, the event showcased the power of creativity and attention to detail in delivering a truly enchanting affair.
