Maven PR teamed up with The Play Agency to bring to life the complexity and bespoke craftsmanship of Macallan Whisky for their Red Collection Launch earlier this May in both Melbourne and Sydney. 

We were specifically tasked with creating entertainment pieces that embody a sense of luxuriousness and tradition that meets the modern class of Macallan Whisky. The Play Agency team created a Living Red Carpet experience for guests to enter and be ‘wowed‘ by her long train that seamlessly joins her towering dress. She gracefully sways and swirls and greets guests as they enjoy arrival drinks. The Living Red Carpet always makes for a great photo opportunity too!

Our musical entertainment of choice was a live DJ accompanied by an electric violinist – A match made in heaven! The selection of music was soulful house with a lower BPM (beats per minute) to create a classy, contemporary and unique mood for guests. The electric violin improvises notes over the top of the DJ, making every song one of a kind. The DJ and Violin combination is beautiful to watch while sipping on a fine Macallan drop! 

The one and only Mark Hickey hosted the evening. Mark is a passionate Macallan ambassador who took the guests on a historical and educational tour of the Macallan Whisky journey. He knows all things whisky, and as the guests sat down to a three-course meal, he entertained them with stories and exclusive insights into the Macallan world.

Macallan Whisky launched The Red Collection in two states – Sydney Harbour, at a private space overlooking the harbour bridge and again in Melbourne CBD at the beautiful Candela Nuevo.
