When Telstra approached us to bring their Flower Power themed event to life, we knew it needed to be bold, playful, and immersive – the kind of celebration that would immediately transport guests into a world of colour and joy. Hosted at the stunning Doltone House Darling Island, our goal was to design an unforgettable space to feature entertainment activations that embodied the essence of the 60s and 70s Flower Power movement: freedom, creativity, and togetherness. We curated a lineup of activations that truly captured the theme – here’s what we did…
🌸 Living Flowers – roving performers dressed in lush floral costumes, instantly setting the scene and creating whimsical photo moments.
🚐 Vintage Kombi Van – styled as both a décor feature and retro-inspired photo backdrop.
🌺 Fragrance Bar – a sensory activation where guests could select and take home their own personalised scents.
⛸️ Roller Skaters – gliding through the crowd in psychedelic outfits, adding a playful welcome and setting the scene.
🔮 Tarot Readers – offering mystical insights, perfectly aligned with the spiritual and free-spirited ethos of the Flower Power era.
✨ LED Hula Hoopers – modern, glowing performers who brought an electrifying twist to the retro vibe.
🎷 DJ & Saxophone Duo – combining live music with high-energy beats and vocals to keep the dance floor alive.
🥂 Custom Champagne Skirts – roaming hosts serving bubbles directly from stunning floral-inspired skirts, blending theatre with hospitality.
🍭 Flower & Lolly Cart – a sweet farewell where guests were gifted treats at the end of the evening, leaving them with a lasting memory of the celebration.
These activations, paired with epic balloon installations, a fun 360 video booth, giant light up letters and a massive 3m x 3m LED DJ booth really brought the theme to life to create a vibrant and multi-sensory experience. We had an absolute ball bringing this event together, but don’t just take our word for it… Scroll down to see the flower power magic unfold!
